I was surprised today we didnt do any orchid potting. Jacintha told us even juicier, more like sick and disgusting, stories about pple who's working w us. Im not gon say anything here cos theres no point. Nadiah and i are the new targets.

We just have to be cautious.

And i finally saw a snake today. Hamish jus had to scare us.

Whatever it is, today's a good day.

********************

Friday night was spent lazing at home, watching tv with Bianca at home. Just the two of us, cos Nadiah went over to Ballina to meet up with Clayton. We were both doing online shopping. I got myself a pair of heels and she got an amp.

I got myself to Ballina on saturday morning and met them at the Sundowner Motor Inn. First time i stayed in a motel. Went to walk around; discover more shops and this really nice place to hav dinner and watch sunset at the same time. We didnt manage to eat there cos it was booked for a function. Will upload the pics soon.

Had dinner at this RSL club. I was queueing for food and the lights went off. i was like BLACK OUT?! It then later occur to me that its a daily routine done in rememberance of the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in wars. Everyone jus stood still while the music was play and some words being said. It's really cool that i get to experience that cos i always see it in movies and never knew whats the point of it?

Drinks were cheap. I had so much drinks last night but i only spent $15 cos people jus keep buying drinks. It was an interesting night initially. Saturday's their retro night. It so happened that yesterday there were a few bucks night and bacholerette night out.

Ehrich and i went to walk around, leaving the 2 lovebirds behind. I got a call from nadiah bout 15mins later, telling me that Clayton had been bashed up. I thought it was though normal fighting over girl kind of fight. We went back and i was appalled when i saw Clayton with blood all over his face and clothes. The blood jus kept flowing out of his nose.

Apparently, he was robbed. The guys were asking them for smoke and money. When Clayton took out his wallet to give them 50cents (thats what they requested, the guy wanted to call his mom), the bigger guy threw punches at his nose and eyes and snatch the wallet away when he fell to the ground. Nadiah was jus so helpless, she ran away. What else can she do but protect herself. She cant afford to hav her passport stolen. What a bloody experience. Im really glad i went away. I wouldnt know how im gon react to that matter. I think i'll be so fucking terrified.

We made a report. The cops were nice to arrange a car to get us back home and Clayton to get to the hospital. FINALLY I GET TO RIDE IN A POLICE CAR. I always wanted to get a ride home by the police claiming that im lost or something when im not. Yea, i know its stupid. but yea. i got a ride. HAHAHA.

Anyway, on a happier note, i got my spongebob squarepants monopoly! its only $50. SIngapore sells them for like $90. Bloody rip off. And as usual, i went shopping. Got a pair of shoes for only $7. What a bargain.

There were 4 cars parked outside when we reached home. We were like who the hell's here. Bianca has her friends over. Chilling chatting drinking, even till now.

If u did notice, like my bestfriend weijing, my entry is getting shorter. The reason why is because work is mundane. All i do is pot pot pot. We have to finish them by 2nd week of oct.

It's starting to get warmer over here. Now i only wear a 2 thin latyerWe've been warned about snakes (they come out when its hot) at certain areas and one of them is a path we usually walk to get to the orchid house. Normally, Nadia and i will be on our guards. Today, after teabreak, we were talking and laughing. AND THEN THE BIG BUSHES BESIDE US SHAKED. It's the first time i got snake scare. I jumped, grabbed nadiah, screamed and finally ran. If there really was a snake, we'll probably be bitten or something. Rodney said it was probably the lizards. Oh, maybe i did mention before, there's a resident monitor lizard here name george. he's really harmless.

Ah. I jus thought of something to talk about. It's bout Rodney. I was telling Nadiah earlier that i think he's hum sup. He saw us holding hands, and said that we should do some show, twist men's minds. And one day, while doing work (of cos!), Jacintha told us to watch out for Rodney, sayin that he's a perv. and that he has hots for asian girls. She further added that Rodney told Hamish about seeing a tatt on my butt. Jacintha was like, 'yes. he's checking out ur arse.' Hmm..Alicia also told us to becareful of him when he drinks. He cant hold his liqour (just like gaius), but i dont know wad he does when he's tipsy though. Oh, Rodney offered to chaffeur us to Lismore and back home if we want to club, go home late or whatever as he claimed that cab rides are expensive to get back to Alstonville.

And and and. Col is a nudist. When i heard that, i was like, ' what irony? he wears 4 thick layes of clothes!'

So u've got some insights of my colleagues. ;)

Before i put this entry to an end, here's something sweet and happy. Hamish proposed to Jacintha last night on their 1st anniversary. If u are wondering, the guy's 19, and the girl's 18. Damn young eh. Whatever it is. I like the way australian kids live. They are financially independent (they get paid really well here) and arre given the freedom to lead their own live since their born. I wish i was brought up here instead of singapore where spoilt brats are being breed. Im planning to stay in Oz for a while after i graduate. I might even ask my mom to migrate.

This entry is so bloody random. Hostel is on play now.

Bryon Bay last night wasnt that fantastic. It's this place with the best nightouts. We were at this beach hotel. Down beer, tequila, b52 and bloody mary for bout $20. I reckon its cheap. The beach was really nice. Will take a pic of it when im heading there in summer. Bryon Bay has shops that sell even prettier stuffs i've seen in Ballina. I cant wait to go there to do shopping soon. Not anytime this month though because i bet the things are gon cost alot more.

Whatever it is, Jacintha and Hamish were nice enough to ask us if we want to go anywhere on friday night. Finally, we have a car to take us anywhere we want!

I signed up as a member of the Video Ezy today. I wonder if its international. I doubt so anyway. We go 6 movie titles for only $12. How cheap! And its for a whole freaking week. So far we've watched In Her Shoes, Wolf Creek and now Coyote Ugly. We borrowed really old school movies. Oh. I went to google on Wolf Creek. Backpackers murdered in NSW. It's pretty amazing that its real. Im too lazy to go on about the details. Go find it out yourself.

Because of people who do not keep their words, people who do not understand the the deal and people who do not understand that it is not an easy task to take care of a Jack Russell, my dog is homeless. I have no fucking choice right now but to give him up for adoption. THANK YOU ASSHOLES. Go fuck yourself.

It's been really cold and windy (STILL! WHAT KIND OF SPRING IS THIS?!). So cold that there's not a single second that my nipple doesnt stay erected.

The sun is out all the time but its the rain and wind that giving cold corpse like hand and face. One minute it drizzle, stop, heavy pour, drizzle, heavy pour, stop. It's so unpredictable and i dont remember when i last saw dry roads. And the wind jus always have to be blowing towards my face. My skin's already peeling. I would say that im pretty lucky as i'll be in the cool house doing orchids maintenance and potting for this whole week.. I think my teeth wont be able to stop chattering if im put outdoors to do despatch. I even shiver in the cool house.

Rainy days are disgusting because the earthworms will be out on the road. Every morning, we see squashed worms, half squashed worms and wriggling worms. Damn gross. We have to keep our eyes on the road to avoid stepping onto them. I was eewing and screaming when i thought i stepped on one.

Nonetheless, i still get to see the farm animals grazing the fields. (;

Just as i am typing this entry., i can hear the wind and rain. Do i have to tell u how cold i am? :|

The day started off great when i got up at 7am. Showered, changed, breakfast. Walked out to the main st and got on the bus to Ballina. Finally! We were supposed to go there on saturday, but we missed the bus. The bus comes at only 2 timings on weekends. Drizzle drizzle.

It started pouring when we were done shopping at Big W around 10. So we went to Donut King to kill time till bout 11am.

Earl grey tea with cute sugar satchets.

Yummy cinnamon donuts.

I had to use my new jacket as a raincoat to get over to Ballina Fair after Big W and Kmart.

Shopping was fabulouso i tell u. I spent my first 100 bucks in half an hour and the next in any half. It's crazy i tell u. I bought things from every mall and shops we visited. Shopping has nv been so good. Dont ask me how much i spent becos i dont want to know it myself either. All i know is that i brought out around 400 bucks and im left with almost nothing, Im still telling myself that i have enough cash to pull through, although i know i will be ringing my mom really soon askin for funds transfer.

That tweed cardigan costs only $10. And i cant help it but buy the plain casual dress.

Kids clothes from Big W. All below $15. The jacket's only $8. LOL. Can u really blame me for spending?

Cotton On stuffs.

From Cotton On as well. The polo tees have really nice material. I think i want to get a black one as well. And the other 2 tees were only $6 if i rem correctly. I love the material so much i wanted to get more colours, but these were the only 2 available colours. Cheap tees are good.

There's so many of those shoes sold at Topshop here at much lower prices and exactly the same. Im gon get more shoes when i get to Ballina again. Nadiah and i plan to exchange our working boots for other shoes cos we really hate how ugly and uncomfy they are. I think the shop do refunds too. This is one good thing about aussie shooping, u can exchange or refund, even after weeks of purchase. Rules and regulations varies from shops though. Anyway, i dont think i will doing any exchanges or refunds for today's shopping.

Clothes bought from Kmart. I cant find bottoms for myself cos the smallest size is 8 for ladies and im a 6. I had to go for kids clothes. Dont ask me why i buy the skirt. I dont even know why. If u are saying, why the hell do i need to many tops, its simply cos its only 5bucks each. Like i said earlier, cheap tees are good. They get trash easily anyway. Why spend so much on them? Oh. the bra's nice, doesnt look gd in the pic though. I'll show u next time Hun.

Yea i know. I bought too many stripes. See the gold bar? It's some card game. Have yet to play it. Think it's something like monpoly.

Subway was good. Had the new Tuscan Chicken. Is it available in sg?

Damn good deal. If i have a car to drive to Ballina, i will eat Subway every Tuesdays. HAHAHA. 2 feet of Sub. OMG!

Check out the cinema. How old skool can it get. I cant wait to watch a movie there during the weekends.

I thought i could go home early and rest. Not till we got to the bus stop. Then we realised that the bus comes only at 7.45pm and there wasnt any cafes around. It was only 3ish, raining and windy. We were rather far away from the mall, probably dont even remember how to trace back our paths. We had to ask around to get to the bus stop. The stop wasnt exactly near the malls. We were lucky i asked the right guy for directions. He was very clear with it, walk out next lane, turn right. After 3 blocks, see the roundabout, tun left. and then something turn right la. We were rather unsure while walking there but good thing we recognised the surroudings and eventually ended up at the bus stop. Anyway, we sat at the bus stop for one hour and then we couldnt take the weather anymore.

It was cold and grey (like England. The wind wasnt kind at all today. The weather was torturin us, we were shivering like mad.
See how many layers i was wearing. Hmm.. but they arent thick la. So yeah.

Video ezy was the only shelter and the helpless us ran in to seek warmth. We stayed there for around 2 hours. They have so so many titles. Those really rare ones, old ones and ban in singapore ones. Nadiah and i cant wait to rent them when we head down to Ballina again. We have plans to stay over in one of the motels for the following weekends. Oh. We bought Penthouse. Grins.

The bus came eventually while i was still yakking away on the phone telling Hun how pathetic my day was, i hung up, went to pick up my shopping backs, turned around and i banged my head agains the damn pole. It was so loud as if i was some jackass doing it purposely. Now theres a dent on my forehead (now i feel as though i have a can head) and its really painful. Shit man, is the dent gon be there for life? Surprisingly, i didnt cry at all. LOL. I was laughing so hard at myself and ouch-ing away.

This is the post that caused the dent. More like i caused it myself.

See u guys soon. It's only been a week since i left. Many more weeks to go.

My hair's black again. Dark blue actually.

I was jus watchinb the Pussycat Dolls mtv, and i jus realised one of them is hot. The way she dance...WOOO. Im certainly not talking about the lead singer. I dont really find her appealng.

Hitching a ride isnt as easy as it seemed on movies or shows. We got to Ives' house late today and she had left without us. So we decided to hitch a ride to work. And then, i dont know if i did it the wrong way or what, all i got was people giving weird looks, smiling at us. HELLO, I NEED A RIDE TO WORK. We only waited for like lass than 5mins. Perhaps, if we waited longer, we might get a damn ride. In e end, we headed back home and got Murphy to send us to work.

This is one thing i cannot stand about country side. Having a car is an essential and i dont have one.

I've come to conclusion that Arlo, one of the guys at Baufarm, looks like a mix of Duncan James and Ryan Seacrest. Michelle, this 21 year old girl who lives in Lismore, is proabably a lesbian. I cant help looking at her sometimes. She's got this aura that makes her so attractive.

Anyway, work's good. Friday is my favourite day. We end work at 3.15am. The thing about Aussie is that they are damn punctual. Everyone will call out to each other when its time for tea break and lunch. When it comes to knocking off, they are really swift. You wont see them at all 1min after knock off time. It's good in a way, cos that means there wont be any OT. LOL.

Friday is my favourite day also because there's very little work to be done. The slackest day of all. Best part is, we get to do the orchids. All we had to do was to clip the stems to the stick to train them so they will grow up straight. They are like plenty of them in the cool house. I personally think its really brilliant of them to use those mini hairclips to bring the stems to the sticks rather than rifier (spell?) string (what we use in singapore or the wire tie thing). It's so much more convenient to adjust when they've grown.

Hamish drove us home after work along with Jacintha and Alica, cos Ives' off early on Fridays. It was really nice of him to drive us to our doorstep. My legs were spared from the walks.

So we decided to take a walk down the main street since there's nothing to do at home.

We saw Kym at the bus stop. She works as a cashier in Bi-Lo (the supermarket in Alstonville), and we have been goin to her to pay for our stuffs. I asked her about bus trips to get around and all that. She was really nice and helpful. People in aussie are jus to friendly, always smiling, always happy help. Ok, maybe only the country side. Kym's like our only outside friend. Oh oh, and the woman who works in the bank. LOL. dont know her name though, but she recognises her. Well, of cos la, we're like the only asian in the whole Alstonville.

Talking about Bi-Lo, there's this section in the freezer meat section that sells pet food. I thought it was cute. I almost wanted to pick an item for myself. Food looks like those for human, jus that there's images of dogs and cats, and they were placed near the sausages and bacon.

Here's some pics of the main street.

Check out this really really weird restaurant. Since when malay and chinese food come together in a restaurant?

This is the gingerlily shop that im talking about. I finally had a chance to go in today. The things are really vintage. Mostly housewares. Not practica for me to get any stuffs, its pretty Smells really nice; lavender. Lavender in aussie smells so so much sweeter and fragrant than in singapore. Anyway, u cant grow lavender in sg.

This shop sells only alcohol. HOW COOL IS THAT!! There were so many varieties to choose from i didnt know which one to buy.

Federal hotel's the pub in town. HAH. Nadiah and i were quite turned off by it. Didnt have the mood to have a drink in there. We'll go there another time.

The sky was so beautiful this evening i had to take a pic of it.

This tree looks really fake i tell u. The trunk looks as if its painted grey. You gotta see it for urself in real. I swear u'll strongly agree with me.

You know, u can pretty much tell that im rather bored over here from the way im blogging. It's so so hmm i dont know. Whatever.

All im looking forward to is shopping in Ballina tomorrow.

********************

Good day everyone. Yesterday was better than the day before. Work's better, not so hectic. We were walking home ytd and taking pictures along the way home, i was taking pic of this very neat garden ( u will see it later) i turned back, and i said to nadiah, "eh, how come this house looks like our house?" Guess what? It is our house. I didnt realise how far we had walked. LOL.

There's the label Tigerlily and over here, there's a gingerlily. They sell vintage homewares. Seemed nice, havent got a chance to go in yet. Only see it when i passed by it in a car. Tmr, we gon go to the main street, where the cooler shops are at and head to the pubs for a drink. It's friday and work ends early. TGIF (=

Today's even better. Better than yesterday. We did the usual despatch, but not so many orders to do today. Nadiah and i got to do our fav. job, which is to pluck the azaleas flowers. LOL. i tell u, i nv pluck so many flowers in my life before. Nadiah's danm funny la. She calls all plants Chris, except those small cutesy ones. She will curse and swear at them, and remove the damaged plant parts as if she's removing someone's armpit hair. She goes."Gosh, where's your hygiene Chris? So much armpit hair." WORK HAS MAKE HER GO BERSERK.

It's super windy today. Very very cold. Even colder than the day before, coldest among all the days i've been here. My god. Everything in the nursery went flying around. Plants, labels, pots, trays, hats, caps. You see people running after all the flown away stuffs; competing with nature. The wind's so strong that all those particles on the ground were blown away, there's constantly something gettin into my eyes. How painful and annoying. It was so cold i couldnt feel my toes nd finger tips.

Jenny drove us to Ballina today to get our working boots. The working boots are so annoying, so uncomfortable. Im not gon wear it anytime soon. Probably in summer. Ballina's a heaven to Nadiah and I. There's so many shops. So many things nice. It then occur to me that what a pathetic and miserable life i have in Alstonville. I miss shopping so much. So deprived of it! It's like, we see things we like, but yet we are unable to buy them becos we need to buy dinner back home after gettin the boots. We only manage to get sweaters, at AUS$2. Dirt cheap. There's alot of pretty things at really cheap prices. Esp the shoes. IM GON BUY SO MANY OF THEM. Anyway, we had macdonalds for dinner. WOOO.

I had a lot of laughters today. So many funny things happened and i cant remember them all. More like im too lazy to go on. It's way past my bed time yo. I've been sleeping around 7 plus lately. Right now, its 9.34pm! YAWNS.

Dont be surprise if u see a size 12 Winona. Im currently a size 6 and i've already put on weight here. I eat alot and i dont get to sweat or anything. Worst part, i sleep alot as well. AH!!! This cant go on!!

Before we left singapore, bout 2 weeks before departure.

Us, on 2nd day of work.

As promised, here are some pics for the overview of my life in Alstonville. There will be more!

Very cute and neat garden, opposite our house

This is the house i live in. Damn brown.

My wooden room.

My table which Nadiah will always use when she comes over and uses the internet. (because her room has no connection.) Thats her laptop and me looking for something i guess.

One of the usual cold mornings.

The Big Tree we go to everyday

To wait for Ives to drive us to work. In other words, Ives' house.

This is how dirty my pants get after work.

Our fridge, always fill up with food.

Something cute and unusual

Its a P plate with a speed limit of 100km/h,

Skittles!

Square packet juice and mini yakult.
